Frequently Asked Questions

What is the IMP Intelligence Series?

An ongoing series of evidence-based analyses of industrial markets, technologies, and value chains. Every paper follows the same discipline: public sources only, disclosed assumptions (marked [Flagged]), documented methodology — and a conclusion that stands even when it’s inconvenient.

Are the papers really free?

Yes. Every paper in the series is available for download without registration and without a paywall. The series is our proof of work — if you want to know how IMP operates, just read a paper.

Why are the papers published in English?

Because the markets covered are international and the readership stretches from Wuppertal to Singapore. Individual papers also appear in German when there’s a concrete reason — like Paper No. 23 (Agrochemicals).

Can I commission a paper on my topic?

Yes, in two ways: as a neutral IMP paper under the IMP name with full editorial independence — or as a commissioned paper under your brand, at the identical quality standard. Either way: same methodology, same source transparency.

How does IMP use artificial intelligence?

Openly and with documentation. AI tools accelerate research, structuring, and layout — editorial responsibility, source verification, and every conclusion remain in human hands throughout. Whatever a paper claims, a human has checked and stands behind.

What does media representation actually mean?

IMP is the European advertising sales representative for international trade media — currently C&EN (American Chemical Society), Petfood Industry (WATT Global Media), and PCI (BNP Media). You book at the publisher’s official rates but get advisory, planning, and handling from a single source, in English or German — at no extra cost.

Does IMP handle campaigns beyond the three represented titles?

Yes. Five decades of market work have built a working file of 400+ B2B media brands. On that basis we plan and book campaigns in titles IMP does not exclusively represent.

May I quote or share IMP papers?

Absolutely — with attribution (IMP InterMediaPartners, paper title, year). Sharing the unmodified PDFs is welcome; for excerpts in your own publications, standard citation practice is sufficient.
